Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Teblak directed by Dale Pawley. The rock
musical production opens on Friday, January 15 and runs through Sunday,
January 31 at the Black Box Theatre, 430 N Downtown Mall in Las Cruces.
Pawley has directed musicals both at Black Box Theatre ("Always Patsy
Cline" and "Tell Me On A Sunday") and Las Cruces Community
Theatre, most recently "Hello Dolly" and "Crazy for
You.". The production of "Godspell" highlights the acting,
singing, and dancing talents of Julian Alexander, Margie Brouhard, Walter
Carr, Linda Cowan, Matthew Esqueda, Rebecca MacCallum, Janet Mazdra, Michele
Nishiguchi, Amy Upshaw, and Joshua Taulbee as "JC." Mark
Hammersmith and Kim Wollard are also featured in the cast. The SonShine Band
providing the lively music is Danny Wade, Drums, Clif Warren, Bass, Karen
Warren, Keyboard and Tom Warren, Guitar. The exciting dance numbers which
accompany the tuneful songs were choreographed by Janet Mazdra.

Hammersmith (Riot Squad), Joshua Taulbee (Jesus) "Godspell" is one of the biggest off-Broadway and
Broadway musicals of all time. It is based primarily on the Gospel According
to St. Matthew and has excellent musical score with beautiful songs including
"Day by Day", "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord,"
"Save The People," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back Oh
Man," and "By My Side."

p.m. Tickets are $10.00 regular admission, $9.00 students and seniors over 65
