Design Note:  The action of the play moves between reality and scenes played only in Jake's mind.  The set design allowed characters to slip on and off without coming through formal entryways.  The lighting alternated between natural, open white for reality to a rose pink for the scenes played in Jake's thoughts.  In some cases, other "real" characters are present while Jake is fantasizing.  At these times, the stage is split between real and fantasy lighting.  The stage is split between and upstairs office and downstairs living room with outside scenes played on the wings.
